Review: The OnePlus Nord Buds 2

OnePlus is known for setting high standards in the tech industry and their latest release, the OnePlus Nord Buds 2, is no exception. These wireless earbuds are an upgrade to last year's model and offer a sleek, stylish design that is both comfortable and functional.

DESIGN

The OnePlus Nord Buds 2 are a stylish and functional upgrade to the original model, with a simple yet sleek design that has been refined to perfection. The pill-shaped stem with a circular touch-sensitive button remains unchanged, but the new Lightning White and Thunder Grey color options offer a fresh and modern look.

Despite their somewhat bulky appearance with their chubby stems, they weigh only 4.7g per bud and fit snugly in my ears. The package comes with three sizes of silicon tips to choose from, but for me, the default medium ones were the perfect fit right out of the box.

The Sound

Internally, 12.4mm titanium drivers deliver a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz. The earbuds are compatible with Bluetooth 5.3 but support only the AAC and SBC codecs. The earbuds have an IP55 rating, meaning they have a high degree of protection against dust ingress and are somewhat resistant to water. The earpieces should be fine in light rain and during sweaty workouts.

Not just that, The Nord Buds 2 deliver quality noise cancellation for their budget-friendly price. It  effectively tamped down the lows and low-mids from a test recording of a busy restaurant, though a wide band of higher frequencies made it through without much issue.

It does a good job while listening to music and don’t missed to pair your Nord Buds 2 with your OnePlus phone to get ultra-immersive audio, thanks to Dolby Atmos3 sound and the built-in Dirac Audio Tuner.

Battery and Charging

Nord Buds 2 has the battery life to keep up with a full day of grooving to your favourite tunes, with 7 hours of listening time for the buds and up to 36 hours4 using the charging case. It comes with the 36 Hours which comes with the total playback ( buds and case)  and you can enjoy up to 7 hours of Continuous Playback. You can 4 Extra Charges with Case.

Colours

OnePlus Nord Buds 2 comes in two colourways - White and Black
