Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) today officially launched the new STARGAZER, an MPV built around the realities of modern family life – from everyday routines to the journeys that bring everyone together.
Positioned as ‘The WEhicle’, STARGAZER brings together Hyundai’s distinctive design and smart technology with flexible space, comprehensive safety, and thoughtful convenience. Built for the many roles a family car must play, it offers a more considered take on the modern MPV – practical where it matters, while still delivering the comfort, style, and technology expected from the global automotive maker.

A family car is rarely just about the people it carries. It is there for the morning school run, the pick-ups after a long day, bringing parents where they need to go, or simply making room when one more person comes along. These everyday routines and responsibilities are often where families show up for one another, and that is the thinking behind ‘The WEhicle’ – a vehicle designed around the way family life really happens.
Rather than focusing on space alone, its cabin has been thought around how families use it, with flexible seating, useful storage, and convenience features that help the vehicle adapt throughout the journey.
Features such as the cargo floor box with lid, seat-back table, and multiple USB ports give everyday essentials a proper place; while the seating layout allows families to carry more people without compromising comfort.
On the STARGAZER X, a floating centre console with detachable tray adds another layer of flexibility and convenience to the cabin.
Advanced Safety and Smart Comfort for Every Drive
The new STARGAZER is also designed to make every drive feel more assured, combining advanced safety technologies with the comfort and convenience features families rely on every day.
At the core is Hyundai SmartSense, Hyundai’s suite of advanced driver assistance technologies designed to support greater awareness and confidence behind the wheel. Depending on variant, this includes ADAS 2.0 features such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Blind-Spot
Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Lane Following Assist – helping drivers navigate both busy urban traffic and longer highway journeys with greater ease.
The STARGAZER Prime also comes equipped with six airbags, adding another layer of occupant protection for greater peace of mind on the road.
That same focus on making the drive easier carries through to the cabin with roof-mounted rear air- conditioning vents. Selected variants feature dual 10.25-inch displays, alongside available features including wireless charging and Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold. Together, they create a more intuitive and comfortable environment for both driver and passengers, whether it is a short daily commute or a longer journey with the family.
A New Look for the Modern MPV
Breaking away from conventional MPV design, the STARGAZER introduces a more futuristic and expressive character aimed at a new generation of family car buyers.
The STARGAZER X takes this further with SUV-inspired styling, including sporty front and rear bumpers, sporty rear spoiler, black Hyundai emblems, black gloss alloy wheels, and a six-person captain seat layout for greater space and premium comfort for the family.
Three STARGAZER Variants for Different Family Needs
Making its official Malaysian debut today, the new STARGAZER line-up has been developed around different family needs, from smart everyday essentials to a more connected and premium experience:
• STARGAZER Style: At RM99, 800, the STARGAZER Style starts the range with a seven-seat 2+3+2
layout, LED headlamps with H-signature daytime running lights, an 8-inch multimedia player with a
4.2-inch TFT LCD Meter Colour Cluster and 16-inch alloy wheels.
• STARGAZER Prime: Priced at RM109, 800, the STARGAZER Prime steps up the experience with dual
10.25-inch displays, Hyundai SmartSense advanced driver assistance technologies (ADAS 2.0) and six airbags.
• STARGAZER X: Launched with a price of RM121, 800, the STARGAZER X brings a more distinctive SUV-inspired character to the range, together with a 2+2+2 captain-chair configuration, full leatherette seats, and Shift-By-Wire transmission control.

In addition, HMY is offering an Early Bird Value Package at RM4,600*, available for purchase during the launch period. The package, inclusive of the RM88 booking fee, offers 8 times or 4 years of free after-sales service.
