UNIQLO Brings Warmth to Underprivileged Children

Global apparel retailer UNIQLO once again steps up its efforts in giving back to the underprivileged communities and spreading cheer to those in need, bringing people and communities together and creating a long-lasting positive impact on society.

In the spirit of giving back to the community, UNIQLO brought cheer to over 20 orphans from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary orphanage to shop for new clothes. This heartwarming gesture was made at the newly opened UNIQLO store at Setapak Central Mall (Lot G21A, Ground Floor) today, spreading joy and happiness to those in need.

At UNIQLO, our local community is always at the heart of our business and operations. Whether its our employees, customers, or fellow Malaysians, we're committed to making a positive impact. We want to provide the underprivileged children with the same opportunity to celebrate social occasions as other kids their age; said Evelyn Tan, Sustainability Director of UNIQLO Malaysia.

"Imprinting ourselves in Malaysia since 2010, our mission has always been staying close to the communities and improving people's lives. We believe that it;s our shared responsibility to help those in need, and we're always ready to create a positive impact" added Evelyn Tan, Sustainability Director of UNIQLO Malaysia.

Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Mary depends on public donations as a means of self-sustenance to support the children and the upkeep of the home.

The sponsorship of new clothes is just one of the many ways UNIQLO is committed to positively impacting the local community. The company will continue to explore and implement various initiatives to support the underprivileged, in line with its core values of giving back and creating a better society for all.
