Nothing Introduces Ear and Ear (a) along with new ChatGPT Integrations

 



During its Q1 Community Update live from Tokyo, Japan, Nothing announced the establishment of a new foundation for its audio product suite with the introduction of two new wireless earbuds: Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a). Simultaneously, Nothing revealed plans to enhance its user experience with industry-first ChatGPT integrations in its audio and smartphone products.


Nothing Ear - Sound, Evolved

Building upon the success of Ear (2), the Nothing Ear earbuds offer a refined design and enhanced audio experience. Here are the key features:

Sound:

Engineered for audiophiles, Nothing Ear boasts Nothing's most advanced driver system to date, featuring an 11 mm dynamic driver with premium materials for authentic, clear sound.

Supports LHDC 5.0 and LDAC codec for high-resolution streaming over Bluetooth.

Advanced Equaliser on the Nothing X app allows for customized sound profiles based on individual preferences.

ANC (Active Noise Cancellation):

Features intelligent noise-cancelling capabilities with Smart ANC that adjusts noise cancellation based on environmental factors.

Offers Adaptive ANC with three noise cancellation levels: high, medium, and low.

Provides noise cancellation up to 45 dB with improved detection and reduction of challenging sounds.

Performance:

Extended battery life compared to Ear (2), lasting up to 40.5 hours with the charging case or 8.5 hours of continuous playback.

Supports wireless charging for quick power-ups.

Enhanced Clear Voice Technology for improved call quality.

Nothing Ear (a) - Let’s Play

Nothing Ear (a) is designed as the ultimate daily audio companion, offering a unique design and powerful noise-cancelling technology:

Design:

Features a new bubble design in yellow, a departure from traditional black and white.

Designed with soft contours and a slim frame for portability and comfort.

ANC (Active Noise Cancellation):

Similar noise-cancelling capabilities as Nothing Ear with Smart ANC and Adaptive ANC.

Sound:

Enhanced driver for deeper bass performance.

Hi-Res Audio Certified for high-resolution audio streaming.

Performance:

Extended battery life of up to 42.5 hours with the charging case.

Fast charging capability for quick power-ups.

ChatGPT Integration:

Nothing integrates ChatGPT into its earbuds and smartphone OS to provide users with instant access to knowledge and AI directly from their devices. This integration allows users to interact with ChatGPT via pinch-to-speak gestures on Nothing earbuds.


Pricing and Availability:


In Malaysia, Nothing Ear will be priced at RM 659 and Nothing Ear (a) at RM 479. Limited quantities will be available from April 27 at select retailers, with general availability starting May 11.


Retailers include DirectD, TMT, Urban Republic, Vivid Concepts, Tac Mobile, SS Solution, Lazada Nothing Flagship Store, and Shopee Nothing Official Store.
