Paris 2024: Team Samsung Galaxy Members Meet at the Olympic™ Rendezvous @ Samsung | Village Plaza

 



On July 25 and August 3, Team Samsung Galaxy members Jagger Eaton (Skateboarding, USA), Se-young An (Badminton, Republic of Korea), Yu-bin Shin (Table Tennis, Republic of Korea), Viktor Axelsen (Badminton, Denmark), Carolina Marín (Badminton, Spain), Alejandra Orozco (Diving, Mexico), Barbora Seemanová (Swimming, Czechia), Richard Tury (Skateboarding, Slovakia), Carlos Yulo (Gymnastics, Philippines), Wilma Anna Helena Murto (Athletics, Finland) and Alessandro Mazzara (Skateboarding, Italy) visited the Olympic™ rendezvous @ Samsung in the heart of the Olympic and Paralympic Village amid the excitement of the Olympic Games Paris 2024.


Highlighting Samsung’s latest technology and Olympic activations, Olympic™ rendezvous @ Samsung | Village Plaza is a space for Team Samsung Galaxy members to create lifelong memories with friends and fellow competitors.


Through the “Travel with Galaxy AI” program, athletes from different countries communicated easily with one another and fans around the world using Galaxy AI’s translation features. Meanwhile, Galaxy AI helped the athletes create awesome portraits by resizing, repositioning and removing unwanted objects from pictures on their new Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition.  In addition, the athletes traded Samsung Olympic Games pins collected by participating in various missions and quizzes.


“I had so much fun making memories with the Team Samsung Galaxy members inside this space and using Galaxy AI features to communicate in new ways,” said Jagger Eaton.


“Meeting my fellow Team Samsung Galaxy members and communicating without language barriers thanks to Galaxy AI was amazing,” said Yu-bin Shin. “I loved making memories with them during the Olympic Games in Paris.”

100 aircraft, 44 months and 4.4 million man hours: Emirates’ retrofit programme marks major milestone

 Emirates has reached a landmark 100 aircraft refurbished under its retrofit programme, the largest known undertaken by any airline globally. Since work began in November 2022, 47 Airbus A380s and 53 Boeing 777s have been given a complete nose-to-tail refresh at the Emirates Engineering hangars in Dubai. By the end of December 2026, around 20 additional aircraft will be upgraded, moving the airline significantly past the halfway point in its US$ 5 billion investment aimed at delivering a consistently elevated experience to customers.
