Ever Clean donates 3,700kg of litter to enhance care for rescued cats at PAWS

Ever Clean, the premium cat litter known for its maximum odor protection with the strongest clumping action, is proud to support PAWS Animal Welfare Society’s (PAWS) mission to find permanent homes for the street, abandoned and neglected animals. PAWS, a non-profit animal shelter that has been in operation since 1987 in Malaysia, helps animals in need through sheltering, vaccination, deworm, spay / neuter, adoption and education.

“Helping cats flourish in an environment of well-being has always been our brand purpose, so, we are thrilled to make a difference in the lives of these deserving cats through the donation of Ever Clean Lightly-Scented Multiple Cat.” said Monique Gonzales, SEA Marketing Lead of The Clorox Company.

It is made from a premium blend of pure, natural minerals and clays, which provide maximum clumping power that prevents liquid waste from reaching the bottom of the litter box where it can decompose and create odors. “Ever Clean offers easy clean-up. The little effort required for cleaning will give PAWS team more time to attend other urgent needs of the animals.” said Monique.

PAWS has been experiencing an increase in census.

“There are currently 263 cats in our shelter; 80 adult cats and 183 kittens, and the contribution from Ever Clean is estimated to last the shelter 2 to 3 months. Litter donation like this go a long way in helping us fulfil our mission of helping the most vulnerable animals and enriching the lives of pets and people. We appreciate Ever Clean for such generous contribution and we are encouraging more companies to also get involved and support us in any way they can. We believe that by working together we can make a real difference in the lives of these animals, and help to create a better future for them" said Edward Lim, Shelter Manager of PAWS.

PAWS is currently working on a fund raising campaign with the aim to build a new shelter and a quarantine station serving the Petaling Jaya City Council and Shah Alam City Council.

Visit paws.org.my for details on how you could adopt an animal or lend your assistance to the shelter.
