Desaru Coast named “Best Integrated Resort – Asia Pacific” in Travel Weekly Asia’s Reader’s Choice Awards

Malaysia’s largest integrated destination resort, Desaru Coast, has been named “Best Integrated Resort – Asia Pacific” in the Travel Weekly Asia Readers’ Choice Awards 2022. Voted for by travel and hospitality industry professionals in the region, the award recognises Desaru Coast as the best integrated resort in Asia Pacific for offering a wide range of facilities and entertainment, innovative offerings, and quality services under one roof.

The Travel Weekly Asia Reader’s Choice Awards announced on 6 October are among some of the most prestigious in the industry and serve to celebrate companies, brands and individuals who have gone above and beyond to positively impact the travel industry.

“As a relatively new destination, we are honoured to be recognised by our industry peers. This award validates our commitment to providing and delivering world-class service and experiences to our guests. This is an award we will very much celebrate as a team and with partners and champions of Desaru Coast for their continued support,” said Desaru Coast Destination Resort Managing Director and Chief Executive Roslina Arbak.

Earlier this year, Desaru Coast celebrated the official opening of the Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal and the launch of ferry services connecting the destination with Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, Singapore. This marked the completion of phase one of development at the destination.

“With 2,000 acres of land available for development, we are ready to welcome like-minded investors to leverage our excellent infrastructure and facilities to enhance the destination further as we continue to grow and put Desaru Coast, Johor and Malaysia on the global map,” continued Roslina.

Desaru Coast is set within 4,000 acres of rich-biodiverse surroundings and nestled against 17km of pristine beachfront. The destination is home to world-class and ultra-luxury hotels, including Asia’s first, One&Only Desaru Coast, Malaysia’s first Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas, The Westin Desaru Coast and Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast. The destination also boasts a curated and refined mix of attractions and experiences, including The Els Club Desaru Coast with two world-class golf courses and Adventure Waterpark Desaru Coast, the region’s largest waterpark.
