HONOR Promotes Foldable Phones to iPhone Users, Samsung Gets Unintended Spotlight

 HONOR Malaysia has released two videos in its official Facebook page revolving about the HONOR Magic V3's exceptional thinness, outstanding durability, next generation AI features and powerful multitasking capabilities. 


The HONOR Magic V3 is able to compete and excel against Samsung and Apple with its impressive thinness of 4.35mm when unfolded and 9.2mm when folded. Weights only 226g, it rivals the thinness and lightweight of most flagship bar phones, giving HONOR confidence to compete head to head with these two tech giants.














The first video, shows an HONOR Magic V3 user convincing a friend, who is queuing to buy the latest iPhone, to switch to the foldable. He highlights the foldable's large screen, which functions like a mini laptop, making multitasking through its split-screen feature more efficient. 

Another iPhone fan is eventually swayed by the HONOR Magic V3's impressive features, particularly after his friend mentions its ultra-large battery capacity, ideal for extended usage such as gaming. The HONOR Magic V3 boasts a massive 5,150mAh Third Generation Silicon Carbon Battery, supporting 66W wired and 50W wireless HONOR SuperCharge.



In the next scene, a tourist uses the HONOR Magic V3's Face to Face Translation feature to ask for directions to the mall's food court in Spanish, impressing another iPhone user. This real-time translation feature is among the range of the foldable's AI capabilities, including AI Eraser and HONOR Notes, all powered with Google Cloud. 

The second video, recently released, follows a timeline from 2021 to 2024, showcasing two friends - one an iPhone user, the other a Samsung Z Fold user - showing off their devices. Although the iPhone user admires the Z Fold's large screen, she remains unconvinced to switch to the foldable due to its thickness compared to her bar phone. By 2024, however, the iPhone user finally decides to upgrade to the HONOR Magic V3, showing off its slim design to her friend’s new Z Fold. The video ends with the HONOR Magic V3 slipping and falling on the floor with a glass of water spilling on it, demonstrating the foldable’s impressive durability and water resistance.


Fortified with the HONOR Super Armored Inner Screen and HONOR Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield, the HONOR Magic V3 is built to withstand the rigors of daily use. Its durability is further emphasized by its IPX8 rating for water resistance.


The rear cover of the HONOR Magic V3 incorporates a Special Fiber, which reduces its thickness by 30%, and is crafted from aerospace-grade materials for added strength. Additionally, the device features a proprietary Super Steel Hinge that can endure 500,000 folds and has earned the prestigious SGS Durability Certification, making it a robust and reliable choice for users.


The HONOR Magic V3 comes with a 12GB RAM and 512GB memory. The foldable is available in three attractive colors of Mossy Green, Silk Brown and Classic Black.
