QSR BRANDS COLLABORATES WITH JABATAN ARAH KOR AGAMA ANGKATAN TENTERA (KAGAT) FOR PROGRAM AGIHAN RAMADAN ATM TO BRING FOOD ASSISTANCE TO THE UNDERPREVILEGED ASNAF


 QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd (QSR Brands), Malaysia’s first and only fully integrated food operator that operates KFC, Pizza Hut, Ayamas & Life contributed Wakalah Zakat worth of RM160,500 to Jabatan Arah Kor Agama Angkatan Tentera (KAGAT) to be distributed to the underprivileged asnaf during the Ramadan month.

This contribution is part of Program Agihan Ramadan ATM – a strategic collaboration among QSR Brands, KAGAT, and Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP). YBhg Jeneral Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Affendi bin Buang, Malaysian Air Force General accepted the Wakalah Zakat contribution during the Launching Ceremony of Program Agihan Ramadan ATM at Masjid Khalid Al-Walid KEMENTAH on 1 April 2022. The contribution was presented by Mr. Hayazi Bin Darus, Acting Head of Shariah and Halal Compliance Department of QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd.

“We are glad to be collaborating with KAGAT & MAIWP for Program Agihan Ramadan ATM where we were given the opportunity to exercise zakat and at the same time give back to the communities in need as a responsibility we hold dearly as a responsible Malaysian corporate citizen. We hope through this contribution, it will more less lessen the burden and put a smile on the underprivileged asnaf,” said Mr. Hayazi Bin Darus, Acting Head of Shariah and Halal Compliance Department of QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd.

The Zakat contribution in the form of 500 meal packs will be distributed to the underprivileged asnaf for 30 days from 3 April 2022 to 2 May 2022 in several locations identified by KAGAT namely Masjid Khalid Al-Walid KEMENTAH (Kuala Lumpur), Masjid Kem Perdana Sg Besi (Kuala Lumpur), Masjid Pangkalan TLDM Lumut (Perak), Masjid Pangkalan TUDM Subang (Selangor), and Surau Al Mustafa, Markas Angkatan Bersama, Sg Pancing, Kuantan (Pahang).
